Week 1 – July 7th thru July 11th

This week we have covered Chapter 4, Lessons 1-5 and 7.  All students have received a copy of our text and a copy of our syllabus.  There is a portion on the bottom of the syllabus that must be signed by the student as well as a parent or guardian.  Please sign and turn it in on Monday.

All students have a packet of worksheets on Chapter 4.  They should already have lessons 1-4 completed and must complete lessons 5 and 7 over the weekend.  In addition to completing their Chapter 4 packet, students must take four online quizzes covering lessons 1-4.  These quizzes consist of five multiple choice questions and there are also hints available.  Upon completing each quiz, students must enter their first and last name, their email address, my email address, jbrady@cvs.k12.mi.us, and then click send for their quiz results to be sent to me.  The web address for the quizzes is www.trackstar.4teachers.org.  The track number is 356934.  The four links are located on the left side of the screen.

Next week, we will begin with a review of Chapter 4 and the Chapter 4 Test on Monday and then we will get into Chapter 5.

Summer School 2008

Welcome!  This site will be home to current and upcoming assignments for my Algebra 1 students and their parents.  We will begin the course by reviewing some policies and procedures and taking a cummulative exam covering the topics of Algebra 1.  This exam will allow me to gain an understanding of everyone’s current knowledge so that we have a springboard from which to begin.  I look forward to a fruitful and rewarding summer session.  Below you will find my contact information as well as some online resources to help students succeed in Algebra.
